Sean and Krista's Wedding at the Art Museum

Hello Everyone,

Last night I performed a wedding at the Cincinnati Museum of Art. The museum is a wonderful place to have a ceremony - with the masters looking on and the Genius of the Water looking down from the balcony above.

As usual Hanna, the special events coordinator, and her staff presented another flawless setting. The bar in the front lobby under a Chihuli glass sculpture was fitted with all of the drink supplies and in the Terrace Room a feast befitting a king and queen. The tables were elegantly set with black linens and beautiful bone white china, crystal goblets and a multi layer wedding cake with purple icing and adorned with orchids. Truly a fairy tale setting.

Sean and Krista are two young adults who are perfectly matched for one another. The bride was escorted by her Dad down the aisle to her waiting groom. The vows said, the rings exchanged and I was able to pronounce them husband and wife - a tender kiss and then off to the reception. A wonderful day!!

Pollan Farm - A Day of Surprises!!

Hello All,

Saturday I had the privilege of marrying Jeremy and Heidi at the Pollan Farm in Dayton, Ohio.
This was the day that they had waited for so long but there several road blocks on the day of the wedding.

One of the groomsman ran out of gas on the way to the ceremony, the DJ decided that he was not going to play music at the site of the wedding but rather across the yard in the barn that the reception was going to be held, and to top off the whole event one of the bride’s maid dresses still had the security tag from the dress salon attached under the arm.

The bride and groom remained calm and with in a matter of a few minutes the groomsman arrived, the DJ moved the equipment back to the wedding site - but the poor bride’s maid still had the security tag on it but she was able to hide it under her pashmina.

The couple also had a butterfly release at the end of the ceremony. They each held a birdcage type set up and all of the bridal party and the mother of the bride and groom also released butterflies. It was the first time I was involved in this type event so I looked up the meaning of it and according to one site and it is said that if you whisper a wish to a butterfly - because it can not make a sound that it will carry to wish to heaven and God will grant the wish. That is really a pretty cool thought. I know Jeremy and Heidi had many wishes flying off to the heavens on Saturday.

Wedding at Old St. Paul's

Hello All,

Wow! This has been a very busy couple of weeks in the world of weddings in greater Cincinnati.
Last weekend I performed a really nice ceremony at the Verdin Bell - Old St. Paul’s Church in the Over the Rhine area. This is a church that was built in the early part of the 19th century that has soaring hand fresco ceiling paintings of the Saints and a beautiful pipe organ as well as polished terrazzo floors with inlaid tile in various designs. This church was decommissioned in the mid 1970’s and it became the home of the Verdin Bell Company.

More recently a great fellow, Paul Goebles, has transformed the church into one of the most spectacular spots in Cincinnati to hold a wedding. His staff is very detailed oriented in everything from lighting all of the candles to providing bottled water in the brides room. You can take a look at St. Paul’s at he following link
http://www.belleventcentre.com.

The couple, Eric and Amy, were stunning in their wedding regalia and their parents and friends were all seated in the white covered chairs as the bride’s music began. The aisle at St. Paul’s is very long and Amy on the arm of her step-dad came into the sanctuary where she met her groom. Their eyes were fixed on one another through the entire ceremony and after the magic words were said to pronounce them husband and wife they headed back down the aisle to their awaiting guests. What a great couple!
